Musicians of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra to Participate in Pike Township Restoration Project

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, 6/22/2023

The Musicians of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will partner with the Pike Township Residents Association on Saturday, June 24, 2023 to help restore the concrete barriers along the Eagle Creek Greenway on the West 56th Street Causeway at Eagle Creek Reservoir. Members of the orchestra will join members of the Pike Township Residents Association in painting the barriers from 8:45am until 11:00am, weather permitting.

“The Musicians of the ISO strive to make Indianapolis a brighter and more vibrant community not only through performance, but also through projects with local organizations. We are happy to partner with the Pike Township Residents Association on this project,” said Bert Witzel, Orchestra Committee Chair.

“This is about bringing the community together. As volunteers pitch in to beautify the Eagle Creek Causeway, it is fitting to have involvement and support from those who make beautiful music.” says Edwin Locke, Board of Directors, Pike Township Residents Association.

The Pike Township Residents Association, Inc. (PTRA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1972 that provides a forum for Pike Township neighbors to discuss regional and local neighborhood concerns.
